Spring
The
fig tree forms its early fruit;
the
blossoming vines spread their fragrance.
(Songs
of Songs 2:13)
It
is good to have you here.
Spring
is that time of year when the snow begins to melt
and
flowers begin to blossom. Hibernating animals awaken
and
leave their sleeping places. And the number of daylight
hours
increases with spring days and have higher temperatures
than
winter days. It's like a new life has begun. Here in
my
spring room I will share many things about spring so
stay
and visit.
Come
and join me!
First day of spring
is March 21, 2007
For
as the soil makes the sprout come up and a
garden
causes seeds to grow,
so
the Sovereign Lord will make righteousness
and
praise spring up before all mations.
Isaiah
61:11
When Does Spring
Begin?
In
the Northern Hemisphere, the equinox in March marks the
start
of spring and is often called the vernal (spring) equinox.
What Is the Equinox?
EQUINOX
is either of the two days of the year when the sun is
directly
above Earth's equator. At these times, the days and
nights
are of nearly equal length everywhere on Earth. The term equinox
comes
from a Latin word meaning equal night.
In
the Northern Hemisphere, the March equinox marks the start of
spring
and is often called the vernal equinox. The position of the vernal
equinox
is called the first point of Aries. The word vernal means of spring.

The
year's at the spring
And
day's at the morn; ...
God's
in His heaven—
All's
right with the world!
—Robert Browning
"See!
Winter is past; the rains are over and gone.
Flowers
appear on the earth; the season of singing
has come."
(Songs
of Songs 2:11, 12)
Its the Season
of Singing!
"Sing
and make music in your heart to the Lord."
(Ephesians
5:19)
"Worship
the Lord with gladness;
come
before him with joyful songs."
(Psalm
100:2)
Did
you know that the word sing appears in the Bible
115
times?
(according
to Strong's Concordance)
God
gave us the ability to sing. To "utter words in musical tones."
And
He doesn't expect perfection just a willing heart. He desires
us
to sing with our spirits!
"
I will sing with my spirit; but I will also sing with my mind."
(1
Corinthians 14:15)
Lift
up your voice and spirit in complete adoration of Him!
He
is the one true God!

A New Life!
Therefore
if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature;
the
old things have passed away; behold, new things have come.
(1
Corinthians 5:17 NASB)
Have
you become a new creature? Have you accepted the gift
of
new life? Do you know for sure you are a Christian?
Find
out by reading about God's
Love for you.He desires for you to
accept
His gift of a new life through His Son Jesus Christ.
Just
like in Spring when everything starts anew so God wants
you
to start anew. Begin a fresh and rewarding life focused
on
Him. Learn about His
Love for you and embrace a new life.
Once
you have begun your new life, it's so important that

When
you were dead in your transgressions and the
uncircumcision
of your flesh, He made you alive
together
with Him, having forgiven us all our
transgression,
having canceled out the certficate
of
debt consisting of decrees against us,which
was
hostile to us; and He has taken it out of
the
way, having nailed it to the cross.
Colossians
2:13-14
Spring Renewal
For
those of you who have become hum-drum in your walk
with
God, spring cleaning is needed. Get rid of the things
that
keep you from growing in your faith. Get on your
knees
and pray. Ask our loving Father to help you weed
out
those things that cause you to stumble. Bring
yourself
into a spring renewal of faith. Renew your
commitment
to God!
Is it Time To
Do Some Spring Cleaning?
But
everything should be done in a fitting and orderly way.
1
Corinthians 14:40
Spring
seems to be that time of year that we begin to
think
about what we can do away with. Or maybe
spring
cleaning means deep cleaning your home by cleaning
those
areas that don't get a second thought throughout
the
year. Or maybe it just means changing things around a
bit
to achieve a new feel in your home. Whatever spring cleaning
means
to you, I want to encourage you along. I found
a
program that has really helped me get my home organized
and
more comfortable. Have you heard of FlyLady?
She
is
a treasure! Her home organization tools really do work.
The
best part? You can use her tools on your terms.
She
only asks a few requirements....dress to the shoes,
keep
your sink shiny and no whining! Go and check her
out.
And don't let yourself be overwhlemed. Take from the
program
what works for you and have fun doing it. Also,
I
found this organization help through HGTV. Check it out and
use
what will work for you. Getting

Garden Time
I
have to admit. I really struggle with plants. My green thumb
is
not that green. Sadly, many plants have lost their lives
in
my care. But I really do make every attempt to take care of
them
but always to no success. I will share that marigolds
seem
to like me or either they are very easy to care for. LOL!
I
have grand success with them and so I always plant them in
the
springtime. But this year I have decided that I am
going
to polish my green thumb and work hard at learning
more
about gardening. I love a home filled with plants so
I
better learn about them, right? I found some links that
have
great information on gardening. Enjoy!

Spring Devotionals
Here
are some devotionals perfect for springtime.
Remember
that it is so important that we grow
in
the Word of God. That means reading scripture,
memorizing
scripture, and meditating on scripture.
Devotionals
are a great tool for doing just that.
So,
I wanted to share some with you.
