The Gospel According to Jelly Beans

This is a wonderful and tasty way to share the gospel with others,
especially on Resurrection Sunday. You can put together baggies
or tiny containers to give to family and friends. Kids will enjoy
this idea and so will grown ups. It's an excellent way to reach
others for Christ. Have fun!

Candy with a message!!!!

Each jelly bean color is assigned a different meaning, message and
Scripture verse, according to the gospels. There are several variations
and versions of this prayer. However, most convey the same
glorious message - the plan of salvation. Select the colors, put them in
a plastic sandwich bag and attach your own rhyme or the one given
below, and give the gift of Hope this Resurrection Sunday.

Red: For the blood Jesus shed on the cross at Calvary
(1 Peter 3:18)
Green:For growing in the Lord
(Psalm 119:9-16)
Yellow: Eternal Life; Heaven
(Romans6:23) (John 14:1-6)
Blue: Believe and be baptised
(Mark 16:16)
Black: Our sins
(Romans 3:23)
White:His Grace; the glory of the resurrection.
(Ephesians 2:8,9) (Isaiah 1;18)
Purple: For the hours of sorrow His family and friends experienced.
(John 19:17-30)
Pink: For new tomorrows
(Hebrews 10:23)

Jelly bean prayer

Red is for the blood He shed
Green is for the knowledge we seek
Yellow is for eternal life
Blue is for baptism and belief
Black is for the sins we made
Purple is for the hours of sorrow
White is for the grace He gave
Pink is for a Hope-filled tomorrow
A bag of jellybeans
colorful and sweet,
is a promise, a prayer, and
a loved one's treat

I redesigned this prayer after reading several versions of this idea on
the Internet. I changed it up a bit to fit the jelly beans I chose for
my baggie. You can follow this one or another or try putting together your
own jelly bean prayer to go with your bag. Just remember your goal
is to share the truth of the gospel.

*Remember to use wisdom and discernment when
surfing the Internet.*
