Resurrection Sunday Eggs

Here is a wonderful idea for sharing the gospel with your children at
home or with your Sunday school class or whomever. You can buy
these in kits but I think it is much more fun to make your own.
You will learn so much this way. Anyhow, let's get going. May
God bless you!

First, you will need 12 plastic eggs of assorted colors. I would suggest the
medium size eggs. Preferably the ones that would fit in the slots
of regular egg cartons bought in the store. This is where you can keep
them. Be creative and decorate the egg carton as well. Be sure to
number the eggs so you don't mix up the order. Also, include a small
piece of paper with each egg that shares the coordinating scripture verse.

Egg #1:  Three dimes and Matthew 26:14-15.
Egg #2:  One communion cup and Matthew 26:39.
Egg #3:  Twine/rope with knots and Matthew 27:1,2.
Egg #4:  A piece of soap and Matthew 27:24-26.
Egg #5:  Square red fabric and Matthew 27:28-30.
Egg #6:  A wooden cross (can be made with twigs or toothpicks) and
                   Matthew 27:31,32.
        Egg #7:  Two dice and Matthew 27: 35,36 =.
Egg #8:  A bag of crushed rock and Matthew 27:50,51,54.
Egg #9:  A strip of white cloth and Matthew 27:58-60.
        Egg #10: A stone and Matthew 27:65,66.
Egg #11: A bayleaf spice and Matthew 28:2,5.

There are different variations to this activity. Here are some
other eggs you can make. I would choose the ones for your
12 eggs and put those together.

Egg A:  Small cracker pieces and Mark 14:22
Egg B:  Rooster drawing or feather and Matthew 26:33
Egg C:  Small piece of leather and Mark 15:15
Egg D:  Thorn and Mark 15:17 or Mtthew 27:29
Egg E:  Nail and Matthew 27:31 or John 20:25
Egg F:  Sponge and John 19:29,30 or Mtthew 27:48
Egg G:  Sword or spear (plastic hors d'oeurves, Lego sword or spear)
                 and John 19:34
Egg H:  Cinnamon sticks and Mark 16:1
Egg I:  Empty egg and Matthew 28:6 or Mark 16:5,6 or Luke 24:3-6
                 or John 3:16
Egg J:  Cotton ball (a cloud) and Mark 16:19
